How to Perform the Assessment
- Find a quiet environment with minimal background noise.
- Use headphones for the most accurate results.
- Start by clicking the "Play Tone" button.
- Use the slider to adjust the frequency up and down.
- Try to match the tone to the pitch of your tinnitus as closely as possible.
- If your tinnitus is in both ears and the pitches differ, focus on the more prominent one.
- Take breaks if needed to avoid fatigue.
- Once you've found the closest match, click "Save Frequency".
Tips for Accuracy:
- It's normal if you can't find an exact match. Choose the closest frequency.
- If unsure, try bracketing: find frequencies just below and above your tinnitus, then narrow down.
- Repeat the test a few times over different days for consistency.
- Remember, your tinnitus frequency may change over time. Regular reassessment can be helpful.
